Illinois City Hosting Immersive ‘Bluey’ Event In May
If you're a parent, there's a good chance you're familiar with a certain Australian Blue Heeler dog.
NBC Chicago says that there will be a "Bluey" experience coming next month. It will be at CAMP's Midwest flagship store, which is in Lincoln Park at 647 West North Avenue. It's called 'Bluey x CAMP' and will feature a real life-size version of the Heeler's home and a meet and greet with Bluey and her sister, Bingo.
It's a 50-minute experience. There is a blanket fort, easter eggs to find, classic Bluey games to play (like Keepy Uppy, Magic Asparagus, and Grannies), and a cardboard castle that's in Bandit's office. It will also feature Bluey's famous "Dance Mode", which will have moving party lights and dance music. At the end of the experience, you can take a picture with Bluey and Bingo.
It is a 5,000-square-foot recreation of the Heeler home and it is wheelchair accessible. Groups of up to 25 people will enter the experience every 15 minutes. It's recommended for kids ages 3-8, but it's welcome to any age of Bluey fans.
If you and your kiddo are in, you need to book your time for the 'Bluey x CAMP' experience. You can do that on their website here. It's $44 and you can change your booking to another day up to 2 hours before your scheduled time.
According to Bluey's website, the immersive experience is only available in L.A. and Chicago. The Bluey x CAMP experience will be in Chicago beginning May 24th and lasting through the end of September.
