World’s Largest Corn Maze In Illinois Reveals 2026 Theme

The party really does last all year.

One reason we all love fall are corn mazes, haunted or not. Even though this summer is the big birthday party for America, the party is absolutely going on all year.

Richardson Adventure Farm, considered to be the world's largest corn maze with 28 acres and about 10 miles of trail, is in Spring Grove, Illinois.

Ahead of their opening on September 12th, they created a collection of the best of America's symbols, as a tribute to America's 250th birthday.

It's an eagle above an early American flag- with 13 stars- next to 3 of the founding fathers signing the Declaration of Independence (not gonna lie, I thought they were playing poker at first glance) and 'USA' over '1776'. It also has plenty of fireworks and '250' emblazoned on a star in the top center.

George Richardson told NBC Chicago about the design:

It’s a wonderfully detailed image. I particularly love the eagle flying above the early American flag. I think it’s going to be really spectacular.

 

For those of us directionally-challenged, you do actually get that design on a postcard when you start the maze, so it's on you when you get lost.

Last year's design was 'Back to 1985' in honor of the 40th anniversary of 'Back to the Future'.

The maze itself is done by the Idaho-based company MazePlay. If you look closely, the maze is actually 4 smaller mazes. The little yellow strips in the picture are bridges. There are checkpoints along the way to help you solve the maze.
