Illinois Man Wins $1 Million During Lunch Break Ticket Scratch-Off

This may never be our lunch breaks.

Do you ever get the hope that maybe-just maybe- you'll win a million bucks and not have to go back to work that afternoon?

Currently, we do have your chance to win a thousand bucks so you wouldn't have to.

But one man in DuPage County had a pretty memorable lunch break. According to the Illinois Lottery, the man is staying anonymous but a $50 scratch-off proved to be worth the bucks.

Our dude here was just chilling at work on his lunch break and scratched off the ticket and won a million bucks.

He bought the ticket at his favorite local gas station (the most Midwest thing ever) which in his case was the Mobil Gas, at 435 W Roosevelt Rd. in Lombard. He decided to get a couple of tickets. One wasn't a winner but you better believe the other one was.

And to add insult to injury, this isn't the first lottery win for "Lucky", who says he has won about 20 other times, with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 as he plays the lottery often.

Meanwhile, you and I are thrilled if we win $5.

Here's what Lucky says he's doing with the money:

I’m going to invest in my family’s future, buy a new home, and refresh my wardrobe. I also plan to donate a portion to a local hospital.
