Illinois is One of the Best States for Singles
There's plenty of reason to swipe right, Illinois. The Prairie State is ranked as the 6th best state for singles, according to a survey from WalletHub.
Iowa, meanwhile, comes in at number 32 on the list.
The survey considered multiple elements broken down into three main categories:
1. Dating Economics
The dating economics includes stuff like the price of alcohol, movie tickets, job growth rate, and even haircut costs. Because dating can get pricey.
2. Dating Opportunities
This would be the share of single adults in the state, online dating opportunities, openness to relationships, and more. In a true sign of the times, another factor in this category are residents who are fully vaccinated. Didn't we all just love virtual dates?
3. Romance and Fun.
This is where Iowa and Illinois did really well! It's how many restaurants, movie theatres, amusement parks, etc. per capita in the states. Yummy food, good company, and an entertaining flick are all signs of a promising date.

In summation, the QC is prime for a good date night! There are plenty of dining date night ops in Illinois. Illinois is ranked 5th in Most Restaurants per Capita.
On the other side of the river, Iowa is stepping up with the 2nd most Movie Theatres per Capita. Your Valentine's Day is set!
As one who just moved to the QC, this is promising news for me. To no surprise from me, my home state of Arkansas comes in at number 49 out of 50. I'll just leave that there.
