It's scary to see so many cars on the side of the road during snowy icy weather and police have a strong message for us.

It's human nature to look as we pass by someone in trouble or see why emergency vehicles are on the scene, but the Illinois State Police want to remind you, it is illegal to take pictures, video, or live stream while driving a vehicle in/around/over/under/through a crash scene or emergency scene on the roadway.

According to their post, police say 'it’s extremely dangerous to all of us that are working the scene. 🚓🚑🚒🚚." A deputy was struck by a driver who failed to slow, failed to move over, and failed to pay attention in Dallas County, Iowa. You can see the video here

Police want you to put the phone down so you don't become the next crash victim or hurt anyone anyone else.
