Iowa Artist Recreates ‘American Gothic’ For Social Distancing
If you are from Iowa, an artist, or just have some random trivia knowledge, you know the famous painting 'American Gothic' by Iowan Grant Wood. The farmer and his wife standing outside of their farm home and the farmer holding a pitchfork.
The only problem with this infamous painting in the age of the Coronavirus is that the farmer and his wife clearly aren't practicing social distancing. Enter cartoonist Noah Regan of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. What better than an Iowan recreating one of the most famous paintings done by another Iowan? Making it contemporary.
If this doesn't say Iowa and Coronavirus in one picture, I don't know what does. Hello from Iowa indeed.
