Iowa Baker To Be On Netflix Holiday Baking Show
'Tis the season for holiday baking shows.
It's always fun to watch competition reality TV when we have someone from our area to cheer for and that's what we're looking at for the Christmas season on Netflix.
After winning season 1 of "Is It Cake?", Des Moines-based baker Jordan Fuller is returning to Netflix for a festive competition. It's called "Is It Cake? Holiday". Fuller owns Sugar Freakshow in Des Moines.
The challenge for contestants on the show will be to create cakes in the form of something recognizable around the holidays: ice skates, nutcrackers, wreaths, etc. And like we've seen on social media, the very realistic cakes are astonishing.
It's an all-stars competition. "Is It Cake? Holiday" contestants will include past competitors from the original "Is It Cake?" show. Besides Fuller, Season 1 will be represented by Jonny Manganello and April Julian. Season 2's Elizabeth Rowe, Miko Kaw Hok Uy, and Danya Smith will compete. And from Season 3, there will be Henderson Gonzalez, Grace Pak, and Jujhar Mann.
According to Netflix, celebrity judges on "Is It Cake? Holiday" will include Rachel Bloom, Wayne Brady, Sebastian Maniscalco, Hannah Berner, Tiffany Haddish, Devon Walker, James Austin Johnson, Chris Witaske, Sasheer Zamata, Terry Crews, Punkie Johnson, and Randall Park. SNL cast member Mikey Day will host the show.
These shows are so fun to watch since I know I could never do anything like they can. "Is It Cake? Holiday" will begin streaming on Netflix on November 28th, if you need something to binge watch after Thanksgiving dinner.
