Iowa men on the first-ever "Golden Bachelorette" are still making our gentlemen look good.

Last Wednesday, the new episode of "The Golden Bachelorette" had two Iowans, Jonathan Rone (from Oakland) and Dan Roemer (Des Moines native who currently lives in Florida) on a group date with the Golden Bachelorette herself, Joan.

The group date got spicy, as the men learned how to strip tease from the Chippendales and did a "Bare It All" dance for the nonprofit Stand Up To Cancer.

Rone performed in a "Sergeant Sexy" costume and though he hadn't done a strip tease before, his fellow contestants were cheering him on.

Roemer said:

Jonathan is the man. I don't know if he's done this before but he's nailing it

The group date rose went to Chock Chapple, who left at the end of the episode because his mother died, promising to return.

For the Iowans, Rone is staying and was one of the first to receive a rose from Joan. Roemer, however, was told goodbye. As he left, he commented on how much he will miss everyone, not just Joan but the men too. Also still in the running is Jordan Heller, who is from Riverwoods, Illinois but went to the University of Iowa.

Even though an Iowan may not win it, they have created some wholesome moments with Joan that are very Iowa. The men have made Iowa guys look good on national TV. You can catch "The Golden Bachelorette" on Wednesday nights at 7:00 c.t. on ABC.
