This weekend, take advantage of the warm sun and get your yard looking beautiful.

No Sticker Yard Waste Ending

April 14th marks the end of Davenport’s No Sticker Yard Waste Week. If you have kraft-ply bags (big brown paper bags),  put your yard waste in the bags and set them out for collection on your regular day - no stickers are required.

Alternatively, if you have the yard waste cart service or can take it to the Davenport Compost Facility, that works too - and it’s free.

It looks like Mother Nature is helping you out too. Recent winds have brought down lots of branches and limbs - these can be bundled up in lengths no longer than 5 feet and weighing no more than 50 pounds. Bundle those up and they will be collected without any extra fee.

So get outside this weekend and enjoy the sunshine - it's the perfect time to get your yard cleaned up and ready for summer.

Yard Waste Tags Can Get Costly

Leaves and branches have fallen from the trees recently, so it is our determination to rake them up. The City of Davenport knows a lot of us will have 30+ bags on our curb, and they want to make sure we're able to get those out of there without breaking the bank.
Sure, they're only $1.60 a sticker, but if you have 3-4 good-sized trees, you're looking at the cost of cleanup hitting pretty high - like $30-40 worth of stickers just to get the leaves out of your yard.
