This is NOT how you make a dramatic entrance… but it IS how you get everyone’s attention.

A Big WACK

Just before Virginia Tech kicked off its spring football game under new coach James Franklin, one skydiver decided to make a dramatic arrival, and instead ended up giving the stadium scoreboard a very personal hug. Not exactly the kind of pregame entertainment anyone ordered.

Officials said the parachuter got stuck up there but was safely secured and in stable condition. The game itself? Yeah, that had to wait… delayed for over an hour while everyone collectively looked up and went, “oooh… that’s gotta hurt.”

The skydiver’s name hasn’t been released, though you can bet they’ve earned a nickname by now.

Giving Props To The First Responders

You Watched The Video Right?

At one point, video showed the parachuter dangling awkwardly between letters on the scoreboard, like a decoration that very much did not belong there. To make things even more surreal, he dropped a giant American flag and a smaller parachute into the stands while hanging there for about 20 minutes. So fans got a free souvenir… just not the way anyone planned.

Eventually, first responders brought him safely back down. No injuries reported, just a bruised ego and one unforgettable entrance.
