WATCH: Happy Toddler Climbs Into Claw Machine And Gets Stuck
Soccer fans in Webster Groves got more than they bargained for on Saturday night when a two-year-old decided to become the most adorable prize in the building. While families gathered at the Vetta Sports Soccerdome, young Cooper King turned a standard claw machine into his personal VIP lounge.
A Quick Getaway
The incident occurred while the King family was focused on Cooper’s older brother’s soccer match. It only took a moment for the adventurous toddler to make his move.
"I looked away for 15 seconds," said Megan, Cooper’s mother. The sudden realization of his whereabouts came when she heard someone shout “Cooper” and point toward the glowing glass box. It seems Cooper decided that if you want a toy done right, you have to go get it yourself. Talk about a "grip" on reality!
Staying Cool Under Pressure
While most people would panic, Cooper was apparently living his best life. He remained stuck inside the machine for roughly 20 minutes, though he didn't seem to mind the enclosed surroundings. He was "un-fazed" by the growing crowd of spectators, perhaps he just liked being the center of "clawn-tention."
The Key to Success
Webster Groves police and firefighters arrived on the scene, but they didn't need the Jaws of Life for this rescue. Ultimately, a service technician arrived with a key to unlock the glass. Cooper was safely retrieved, proving that he is, without a doubt, a "catch" for his family.
