50 Kinds Of Pop Now Discontinued And Gone Forever In Iowa
Are you a pop drinker? The CDC says 63% of Americans drink a "sugar-sweetened beverage" every day. Of course, that includes everything from pop to energy drinks. But it shows how much Americans love their sugar in liquid form.
With so many people drinking pops in Iowa and across the country, you would think there would be plenty of room on the market for a lot of varieties. But think about the choices you have when you go to the store. Are there really that many, or are there just a lot of the same stuff?
There used to be many more choices, and as you can see below, there is probably a reason they are no longer available.

Before you look at all the pops you can no longer find, here are the ones you can find everywhere. These are the top 10 most popular pops in America
10 - 7-Up (Just under $1 billion)
9 - Sunkist
8 - Sierra Mist
7 - Fanta
6 - Sprite
5 - Mountain Dew
4 - Dr. Pepper
3 - Pepsi
2 - Diet Coke
1 - Coca-Cola ($36.5 billion)
Is your favorite on the list? The 7-Up was a bit of a surprise to me. Other than to mix with alcohol or to sip on while you are sick I can't think of a time I just had a 7-Up.
And no root beer on the list? That's always such a great one when getting fast food. The right amount of sweetness to combat the saltiness of the fast food. And it feels like people should be having more root beer floats as well.
More than likely those choices aren't going anywhere. But these are the ones you won't be able to find anymore.
