Approximately 36,000 units of blood are used in hospitals every day.  There is always a demand for blood and for those who can donate.  Summer is a time when blood donations are even more needed.  People get busy, and supplies can become more scarce.

That's why we'd like to see you at the Quad Cities Pints and Paws Blood Drive.

Join us and the American Red Cross at their special Pints and Paws Blood Drive.  The blood drive will take place over 2 days in 4 locations, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to help out.

The drive will take place July 9 from Noon till 6:00 p.m. at the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities (1100 River Drive, Moline, IL) and at the Isle of Capri (1777 Isle Pkwy, Bettendorf, IA).

Day two of the special blood drive will also be from Noon till 6:00 p.m., with donation locations at the Davenport Public Library - East Branch (6000 Eastern Ave., Davenport, IA) and again at the American Red Cross of the Quad Cities.

All blood donors will receive a Red Cross bandana for their pet while supplies last.  And as a special thank you to all presenting donors, for each donation given at the Pints and Paws Blood Drive, the American Red Cross will make a $10 donation to the Humane Societies of the Quad Cities.

Not only will you help save a human life with your blood, but you will also make life better for one of our local four-legged friends.
