Rock Island Elementary Teacher Awarded For “Going To Bat For Her Students”

We're in the second half of the spring semester and the kids are back in class working hard, so we're going out again for our surprises with Ultimate Chocolates to highlight and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Jessica Stockwell, 2nd-grade teacher at Denkmann Elementary in Rock Island!

Ms. Stockwell was nominated by a parent, Adrienne A. She said in her nomination:

I am nominating Jessica Stockwell, second grade teacher at Denkmann Elementary in Rock Island, IL. I have nominated her before, and she really needs to win this award! Mrs Stockwell is the most above and beyond teacher I have ever met. As a teacher myself, I have high expectations and hopes for my children to have an amazing school experience, particularly in their younger years. Mrs Stockwell has blown my expectations out of the water and has taken such great care of my (at times challenging) second grader. She always goes the extra mile to make sure his academic and emotional needs are met, but not just him, she truly cares for every student in her class. She will go to bat for all of her students and fight for their needs whenever something arises. She makes every academic unit, every holiday, and even just the little regular things of day-to-day life in an elementary school extra special. She cooks for her students, brings in special artifacts, takes them on extra field trips, and really strives to make their childhood days extra special. She is a gem and we are so lucky to have her!
