Carrey was recently in what is now most successful video game movie "Sonic". He played the the main villain, Dr. Robotnik. For a lot of people Jim Carrey was their favorite part. The sonic movie has been the talk of the town. This leads to the actors getting multiple interviews and in one of these Jim Carrey very quickly named his favorite movies, in no particular order, and why he loved them.

The Cable Guy

The 1996 movie had a mixed response by people when it came out. Sitting at only 53% on Rotten Tomatos, which seems weird for how stacked the cast was. The biggest critique for many was how off the tone felt. Was this a comedy or a thriller? We will never know, but Jim said he had so much fun with this movie. And that it held a special place in his heart.

Ace ventura

Mr. Carrey said this 1994 movie is what started it for him. With the iconic lines like "Alrighty then." He attributes a lot of his success from this movie. Which is interesting because at first people didn't love it. Sitting at a 47% on Rotten Tomatos.

Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind

It makes sense why this one is on the list. This 2004 hit was loved. He said he also loved it, and the opportunity to do something this real and sad. While it is Debatable, this is considered one of his best movies with a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
