Why Was This Pop Star Randomly In Eastern Iowa?

It's the start of the New Year and if one of your New Year resolutions was to meet a pop star, you missed a really good chance to do so in Eastern Iowa. But why would this random pop star be in our neck of the woods?

There are plenty of other stars that you would commonly spot in Iowa because of their ties to the Hawkeye state.

This pop artist was in the Eastern Iowa town out of total randomness and for a common need, we all have from time to time.

Stars That Call Iowa Home

There are many stars that you would see about their business in Iowa. Many music, movie, sports, and television stars call Iowa home and we're excited that they do.

It wouldn't be out of the blue to see stars in Iowa like Ashton Kutcher, Kurt Warner, Shawn Johnson, Julia Michaels, Adam DeVine or many others because they've called the Hawkeye State home and some still do.

The pop star that passed through, not only Iowa, but the southern part of the Quad Cities on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, has no ties to Iowa.

Pop Star Randomly Spotted In Eastern Iowa

Today which is Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the artist behind the 2018 hit song, Old Town Road, passed through a town just south of the Quad Cities metro.

That artist, Lil Nas X.

Lil Nas X was spotted in Muscatine, IA at the Walmart Auto Care Center (3003 US-61) by Kevin Howe. Thanks to former radio DJ, Tony Tone, for sending me Kevin's post.

This is why Lil Nas X was in Muscatine, according to Kevin:

"Lil Nas X came through the shop today on the way to New York needing an oil change and my boss and I got to do the work. Nice guy but f*ck he’s 2 feet taller than me lol."

Lil Nas X is 6-foot 2-inches. He isn't short.

A pretty cool way to start 2024.
