Most people generally don't come up with their best ideas after a night of drinking, and this is another example.

This seriously sounds like something that would happen in a movie...

Iowa City police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Creekside Market, 2601 Highway 6 E., Friday night. Responding officers found Francisco Munoz, 20, about 100 yards from the market carrying two cases of Corona beer and wearing a shirt covered in nacho cheese. There was also a trail of snack foods and lottery tickets between him and the store.

According to police, Munoz had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, impaired balance and smelled of alcohol, the complaint said. Breath test results showed Munoz had a blood-alcohol content of .270 percent--more than three times the legal limit.

The complaint said Munoz had used a brick to shatter the glass entry door of the market, and police estimate the cost of the damage is more than $1,000.

Munoz was arrested and faces charges of third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief, both Class D felonies, and a public intoxication charge, a simple misdemeanor. [Iowa City Press-Citizen]
