Feeling lucky?

Sometimes, on the days you're cautiously optimistic, you might by a scratch-off lottery ticket or a Powerball. Now, we know the best stores with evidently the best odds.

According to data from casino.org that was obtained by NBC Chicago, a gas station in Illinois ranked as the country's 8th best place to win a lottery ticket prize and it's the best place in the state.

The stats ranked locations by the total jackpot prize amounts that were claimed from tickets that were purchased at each store. They got this info from requests to each state's lottery authority, which included locations, jackpot prizes, and the number of jackpots won.

Illinois' second luckiest store is Nick's Barbeque in Palos Heights, with a prize number of $393,000,000.

Des Plaines overall is lucky, with 36 jackpot wins totaling $1,337,479,504. But they're not the only lucky Illinois city. Each Illinois city that had a location in the state's 10 luckiest stores is also ranked in the top 10 luckiest cities.

Even though the Des Plaines Speedway cracked the top 10 in lucky national stores, it appears the most lottery luck is in California. The luckiest store in the country, if you're going on a road trip, is Joe's Service Center in Altadena, California, with a total prize win of $3,291,320,350.
