More Free COVID-19 Testing Coming To Rock Island County This Week
As the COVID-19 vaccine rolls out in both Iowa and Illinois, the COVID-19 virus is still being spread in the Quad Cities and throughout the world. For those on the Illinois side who haven't received the vaccine yet (majority of us) and want to know their COVID-19 status, free COVID-19 testing is returning this week to Rock Island County, and more specifically, Moline.
A free mobile COVID-19 testing site is returning to Rock Island County this week. According to the Rock Island County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), this mobile testing site will be at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline (1201 River Drive) tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday.
Again, testing for COVID-19 at this mobile testing site is free, and is only available to Illinois residents. Those wanting a COVID-19 test do not need to register, and can get tested regardless of symptoms.
This COVID-19 mobile testing site at the TaxSlayer Center will be open starting at 8 a.m. on both Thursday and Friday. The site is scheduled to to close at 4 p.m. both days, or while supplies last.
Testing will be done via nasal swab. Drive up and walk up testing is available.
Testing will be available again at the TaxSlayer Center again on January 26 and 28.
