New Bus Service Coming To Davenport
A new bus service will allow day trips from Davenport to 9 other destinations.
If you're planning spring travel and trying to weigh budget options, you'll have a new option on the table beginning next week. Megabus, which is one of the largest bus companies in North America, will be opening service in Davenport and will make daily trips to Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Moline, Iowa City, and more destinations.
It comes after a new partnership between Megabus and Burlington Trailways.
Other bus destinations from Davenport include:
- Burlington
- Des Moines
- Dubuque
- Grinnell
- Le Salle/Peru, IL
- Muscatine
- Naperville, IL
- Omaha, NE
- Rock Island, IL
- Walcott
- Waterloo
Schedules for the buses are already available on Megabus's website and tickets can be purchased now for trips that will begin on March 27th.
The partnership between Megabus and Burlington Trailways is expanding bus travel to more parts of the midwest, specifically to provide service to 48 cities, according to a press release from the two companies. Colin Emberson, VP Commercial for Megabus, said in the release:
This partnership will offer robust expansion opportunities in the Midwest. Creating the opportunity for customers to travel as far west as Denver is particularly exciting. We’re proud to be able to offer customers new convenient travel options.
Other cities that will be getting bus routes from the partnership include Denver, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.
