When we write these blog entries, there are a few things that do really well with our readers. One is food. Opening or closings of new restaurants do well. Two is anything to do with coffee. Third is retail news. Stores opening or closing also do well.

Well, here is a post about a new retail option. I've been to the outlets in Williamsburg once. I remember walking into the Coach store and being to afraid to touch anything.

According to KWQC, there's a new shopping opportunity in Altoona, IA. As if going to Adventureland wasn't enough (and don't forget a trip to Bass Pro Shop), now comes a 300,000 square foot outlet mall, just in time for the Christmas season.

Stores in the outlet include:

  • Asics
  • Auntie Anne’s
  • Bath & Body Works
  • Book Warehouse
  • Brooks Brothers
  • Brow Beauty
  • Carter’s Babies and Kids
  • Charleys Philly Steaks
  • Converse
  • Direct Tools Outlet
  • Express Factory Outlet
  • Famous Footwear Outlet
  • Fragrance Outlet
  • francesca’s
  • GNC
  • Kay Jewelers Outlet
  • Kitchen Collection
  • Lane Bryant Outlet
  • Le Creuset
  • Levi’s Outlet
  • Lids
  • Loft Outlet
  • maurices
  • Nike Factory Store
  • OshKosh B’gosh
  • Rack Room Shoes
  • Skechers
  • Teriyaki Boys
  • Tommy Hilfiger
  • Torrid
  • Toys R Us
  • Under Armour
  • Vera Bradley
  • VF Outlet
  • Yankee Candle
  • Zales Outlet

In a time and age where malls are becoming extinct due to cyber shopping, I hope this mall does well. I don't see a Coach store on the list so I'm safe to go there, but a Kay Jewelers Outlet...fellas...beware.
