Battle of the Bands QC 2023 is coming to the Mississippi Valley Fair bigger and better. The best part is that the winner of each battle will win a paid show opening up for a grandstand act during the Mississippi Valley Fair 2023.

Last year's Battle of the Bands was amazing. Monica Austin took home the win, and we can't wait to see who does it this year. First, we need to get a lineup. You can help by making your nominations today.

There are some new rules this year too, we will take a look at those rules and nominating process. The Facebook page goes on to state,

We are excited to announce Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds and co planned by MH Entertainment will be hosting the MH Battle of the Bands QC on Saturday, March 25, 2023!

The Rules

  • Fans can only nominate or vote for one band or musician. If you nominate a band, that counts as your vote.
  • Band members can not nominate their own band or any band! No band members can vote for their band or any band. Fans can only vote or nominate,
    Bands must chat with Michelle at mhbooking1@gmail.com before sharing.
  • NO Musicians can nominate an acoustic act or a band or their own band.
  • No Radio personnel can nominate an acoustic act or a band.
  • Once the acoustic act or band is nominated, Michelle from MH Entertainment will reach out to the band. If they are interested in the event, the musician/band will let Michelle from MH Entertainment which battle they want to be a part of.

Past Winner Rule

Last year's outstanding winners will not be eligible to win this year.

MVF and MH Entertainment has decided the winning band from the prior year is not eligible to participate in the battle for 2023. 

How The Battle will look for 2023

The band battle will be starting roughly at 5 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023. They will have the top 10 bands performing during the night. The band battle will consist of 5 country bands and 5 rock bands. One winner from the rock battle and one winner from the country battle will win an opening act at the Mississippi Valley Fair 2023. MH Entertainment went on to say,

We will be hosting our first acoustic/duo battle starting at 1pm on Saturday, March 25, 2023! All genres of music are eligible and the top 8 acoustic/duo acts will advance to perform at the Battle of the Bands. Musicians- You can only be in the acoustic battle or band bottle. You can not be in both.

Starting now, fans can begin nominating. All you need to do is go into the event under discussion, tag your musician or band name, look for the poll, click on the band/ musician, and vote on the poll.

2023 is going to be another great year of local bands giving it their all! make your nominations today. The nominations will end Monday, January 9, 2023, at 5 PM, and voting will end on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 5 PM. ALL Acoustics/ Bands will need to be available Monday, January 16th to accept participation in the battle.
