I will come up with just about any excuse possible to eat something spicy. The hot sauces in my refrigerator take up more room than my food - and I'm 100% serious. I have a problem.

Naturally, when I combine my love of spice with a weekend beverage, you know I'm not playing around.

For your Super Bowl watch party today, here are the necessary ingredients for the ultimate bloody mary bar.

WARNING - substitutions may be made as I am a crazy person when it comes to heat.

  1. Take out a pub glass and fill it just over halfway with ice.
  2. Grab your favorite vodka (mine pictured is my boyfriend's recipe for his homemade habanero infused Tito's) and pour. I usually put in just a little around half a glass.
  3. Now it's time for the bloody mary mix. I go to ZingZang. It's got a nice base and you can doctor it up as much as you want!
  4. This is my favorite - the sauces! I usually start by adding a splash of Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce, A-1 Steak Sauce, Worcester sauce, Habanero Tobasco, and D'Elidas (a hot sauce my roommate brought back for me from Panama, also habanero flavored - she knows me so well). My parents also add a little bit of horseradish in their bloody's but I didn't have any handy - a drop will do ya!
  5. Finally, the toppings. In my bloody mary's I love celery, a pickle spear, sausage stick, a cube of cheese (your choice), and blue cheese stuffed olives.

Voila! Not only have you impressed your guests by being the hostess with the mostess, but you've also just designed a delicious beverage to enjoy throughout the game!
