Person Carjacked In Davenport Wendy’s Parking Lot

An armed man stole a vehicle from a person parked at a Wendy's in Davenport on Sunday, reports WQAD.

The incident took place at the Wendy's located on 1545 W. Locust Street. Police were called at around 10:45 pm on Sunday, September 8.

According to Davenport PD,

A man asked a person sitting in a parked car in the Wendy's parking lot if they had any marijuana, according to a statement from the department. The victim said no and the man pulled a handgun demanding money.

The victim fled the scene after being threatened with the gun. Meanwhile, the suspect took the car and fled down Sturdevant Street.

The suspect is described as a black man, according to Davenport police. No suspect has been arrested yet and the investigation is reportedly ongoing.
