Phase 4 Reopenings In Rock Island

Just in time for summer, Rock Island Parks and Recreation announced reopenings that will go along with Phase 4 of reopening Illinois. Some of these openings still have some guide lines you will need to follow.

Some of the openings include The Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center, Whitewater Junction Aquatic Center, parks and outdoor recreation.

All of its amenities of The Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center are scheduled to open, except the steam rooms, saunas, whirlpool and indoor playground. Again there will be guideline which include,

• Requirement to wear face coverings. (When not working out)
• social distancing of at least six feet.
• Requirement to sanitize exercising areas and equipment before and after each use.
• Temperature screening.
• Members will need to sign a waiver upon entry each day.

Parks and outdoor recreation will also be open to the public. Once IDPH releases Phase 4 aquatic guidelines, the Whitewater Junction Aquatic Center will be ready to open. More information on more openings and guidelines can be found here.
