Police Chase Ends With Heavy Police Presence At NorthPark Mall
There was a very heavy police presence outside of NorthPark Mall in Davenport on Thursday which had a lot of people concerned as to what was going on. Two people are now in custody after leading police on a chase that ended at the mall.
All is clear now but details are still coming from police about the situation in Davenport.
Our news partner KWQC reports that there was a heavy police presence outside of the east entrance of JCPenney at the NorthPark on Thursday.
Davenport police tell TV6 that they have arrested two people who led them on a chase all of the way to the mall where the Mercedes SUV with Green Family Chevrolet dealership plates crashed into a brick beam.
Several different police vehicles (marked and unmarked) from the Davenport police and Iowa State Patrol were at the scene. Video and photos on social media show police with their guns drawn and pointing at the vehicle and entrance to JCPenny.
The two individuals in custody were the only two that police were looking for. Police tell TV6 that there are not looking for anyone else and there is no longer a threat to the public.
