Two Eastern Iowa Teens Arrested For School Shooting Threat
A social media post made online about a possible school shooting at an Eastern Iowa middle school caused quite a disturbance online, and rightfully so.
Following a lot of investigation into this post, police in Eastern Iowa made an arrest of two minors, and both of them were charged. This is what the press release from the Davneport Police Department in Davenport, Iowa had to say.
"On Monday, March 24, 2025, Davenport Police received information regarding possible threats of violence to students and staff at Sudlow Middle School. To ensure a safe academic environment, law enforcement worked closely with Davenport Community School District personnel, and out of an abundance of caution, additional security resources and School Resource Officers (SROs) were at the school this morning."
"Through investigation, it was determined that there was no credible threat to students or staff. Due to the seriousness of the possible threat and disruptions of the school and the learning environment, a 13-year-old juvenile and a 12-year-old juvenile were arrested and each charged with Harassment First Degree."

"The Davenport Police Department takes all threats of violence seriously and would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of alerting a trusted adult such as a police officer, school administrator, or guardian anytime suspicious activity is observed or heard. We encourage our community that instead of posting or sharing on social media, if you see something, say something. Call 9-1-1 or submit an anonymous tip by downloading the P3 App or by visiting www.qccrimestoppers.com."
"This incident remains under investigation; no further information is available at this time."
