There are a lot of urban legends about razor blades being hidden inside kids' Halloween candy, but these days, you have to be more concerned about drugs apparently.

KWQC reports that police in Johnstown, Pennsylvania have issued a warning to parents after finding THC-laced Nerds Rope while conducting a search warrant.

“During this Halloween, we urge parents to be ever vigilant in checking their children’s candy before allowing them to consume those treats,” the Johnstown Police Department shared on Facebook.

The edibles look just like the real thing, so it would be easy for kids to confuse them with regular candy.

While it's hard to believe that someone would willingly give out THC-laced candy to trick-or-treaters this Halloween, police were concerned enough about the threat to make the Facebook post. It's always a good idea to double-check your child's candy no matter what, since they are receiving it from strangers after all.
