Good news if you frequent Prospect Park in Moline!

According to WQAD, the park is undergoing a huge renovation. Like $415,000 worth of renovations. First on the renovation list is the pavilion. About $305,450 has been budgeted for the pavilion alone. Yesterday, workers built a new staircase.

Future upgrades include replacing the concrete, remodeling the bathrooms, replacing the fishing pier, new playground equipment and creating a drainage system behind the pavilion.

The goal is to have all these project done by summer.

All of these renovations cost money.

There is a fundraiser coming up called "Picnic for Prospect" on Saturday, May 19th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $50 and reservation space will be limited to 200 guests. For tickets and info, click here.
