QC Parents, Check If Your Kids Have This Recalled Toys ‘R’ Us Item
Toys 'R' Us just announced a major US recall on one of their products. CNN reports that 6,000 of the "Totally Me" brand clay craft kits purchased from the store have been recalled due to mold being found in three different kits.
If your kid is a big crafter, you'll want to check your home for the kit. The product was sold from this January through October at Toys 'R' Us locations across the country, and its model number is AD11244 . Both Moline and Davenport have Toys 'R' Us locations, so it's possible local parents have purchased the item. If you do own the kit, Toys 'R' Us says it can be returned for a full refund or store credit.
Although no injuries have been reported yet from the moldy clay, mold does, of course, cause respiratory problems, and young children are among the most susceptible to getting sick from it. Even if you're not a parent, give a head's up to friends and family members that have kids. Mold is not something you want to mess around with.
