Ms. Bustard was nominated by one of her student's parents. The nomination said:

My daughter’s, Ariel, favorite teacher is Ms. Bustard at Eugene Field Elementary. She is Ariel’s favorite teacher because she makes the kids feel loved, special, and that they can be their very best. My daughter started kindergarten nervous about school, knowing her abcs and counting to 20. With Ms. Bustard’s wonderful teaching skills, my daughter is now excited to go to school every day, counting to 200, and has read over 100 books. Ms. Bustard helps every child to reach their full potential and encourages them to be their very best. She makes learning fun and exciting. She has given the kids a wonderful start to their education and is setting them on the right path to do great. She works hard with the students and their parents to provide exceptional learning for every child. She also shows each child love as if they are her own. Teachers like Ms. Bustard are a parents dream come true for their child’s education.

Way to go Ms. Bustard! She is retiring after this school year. She has taught for over 30 years!
