QC Teacher of the Week: Kara Thomas at Eugene Field Elementary School
QC teachers are continuing to be rockstars this spring semester and we're still surprising some lucky ones with our Teacher of the Week program with Nothing Bundt Cakes!
Without further ado, meet this week's Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Kara Thomas at Eugene Field Elementary School in Rock Island! Mrs. Thomas teaches 2nd Grade.
Mrs. Thomas was nominated by Sarah Nimrick. Here's what her nomination said:
Mrs. Thomas has been a complete God send for our son, and I'm sure for anyone in her class this year and in previous years. She has been very understanding and quite a cheerleader for all her students and their families. She has created a fun and loving atmosphere in her classroom and it shows with how her students love and respect her. She is an open communicator whenever we have reached out and is always keeping a positive attitude, even when things seems a little out of sorts. She goes above and beyond to make her students feel excited to learn and come to school each day, which has been amazing to experience.
Kind, thoughtful, selfless, fun, energetic, loving... you couldn't ask for more in a teacher for young children. We love Mrs. Thomas!
Mrs. Thomas and I both teared up reading that, tbh. Great work, Mrs. Thomas! For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Thomas received a B100 Prize Pack, including a B100 teeshirt, stickers, Bubbl'r from Pepsi, and more things, plus a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes!
