Q-C United is hosting three events in October to recognize National Bullying Prevention month. A fiesta supporting school anti-bullying programs in honor of Pete the Purple Bull is 6-9 pm Thurs. at the RiverCenter in Davenport.

The first annual Margarita Mix-Up will feature six flavors of margaritas, a tequila tasting table, people’s choice taco and enchilada contest, music by Crooked Cactus and a raffle drawing for $1,000. Participating restaurants include Rudy’s Tacos, Nally’s Kitchen, The Phoenix, Zeke’s Island Café and Acapulco Café. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door, and may be purchased at qcunited.org.

Pete’s Run with the Bull 5K will be 9 a.m. Sat., Oct. 14, at Modern Woodman Park, Davenport. Registration is $27 and includes a race T-shirt, entry to Pete’s Post-Race Fiesta, food and drinks. Proceeds benefit Pete the Purple Bull school and community programs that promote respect, kindness and personal responsibility.

Pete the Purple Bull’s Awesome Party completes the month of activities. The free family festival is 1-4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 22, at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State St., Bettendorf.

The festival includes inflatables, crafts and games, cookie decorating and pictures with Pete. Participants may bring three canned good donations to be entered into a drawing for a bicycle.
