Attention all snack-prone travelers in Moline.

Airports are really interesting places. Where else is it socially acceptable to sit on the floor and have a margarita and cinnamon roll at 7:00 a.m.?

If you always arrive chronically early to the airport like me, snacks are an essential (though pricey) part of post-security. Now, according to the Quad Cities International Airport, there will be several new options for folks flying through the airport.

This is thanks to Sky Dine, a Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based company. The airport picked Sky Dine to help "strengthen the airport's dining program". Benjamin Leischner, A.A.E., Executive Director, Quad Cities International Airport, said in the release:

Sky Dine is committed to delivering local flavors, healthy options and convenience to the hundreds of thousands of people who pass through the QC Airport each year. As we advance our terminal modernization plan, their family-owned business model and dedication to quality food and service is a natural fit and we’re excited to welcome them to the Quad Cities.

The New Food Options

The release says Sky Dine will operate 3 concession locations (*with final branding and names to be announced later*). So this is the basis of what you can expect.

  • Pre-security food: Grab n’ Go items, Sunny’s Coffee, Cinnabon, a full bar, and a quick-serve menu that has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options
  • Post-security food: all the pre-security options plus Smash Pizza of Bettendorf, Iowa, Sammie’s Sandwich Company, Cinnabon, and a full bar and restaurant menu
  • B concourse bar: a bar that's going to have robotic food delivery, Grab n’ Go selections, full bar service, and access to the post-security eatery menu

Luckily, if you're flying out of Moline this summer, you could get to enjoy it. Right now, they're slated to open Summer 2026 (exact date not listed yet) as part of the airport's Project GATEWAY.

top 10 best movies about football

Football movies work because the game is a perfect pressure cooker for drama. Whether it’s a coach trying to hold a locker room together or an underdog fighting for a single play on the field, these stories usually end up being about way more than just what happens between the whistles. They’re about ego, community, and those "get up off the dirt" moments we all wish we had in real life.
