Quad Cities Celebrates Dr. Seuss And Read Across America
Happy birthday Dr. Seuss. His books were, and still are some of my favorites. My daughter has been doing Dr. Seuss week all week at school. She has totally gotten in to it.
According to WQAD, in honor of the authors birthday, it's Read Across America Day. Today is a great day to grab a Dr. Seuss book. "Green Eggs and Ham" was always one of my favorites.
According to the website The Top Tens's, "The Lorax" is the favorite Dr. Seuss book followed by the "Cat in the Hat" and "Green Eggs and Ham."
Put the screens down and enjoy a book today. I'm currently reading "The Dirt."
Head to the East Moline library today for a "Dr. Seuss Make It, Take It" event from 3:30 to 5:50. Here's a link to the Facebook event.
