Quad City Kids Can Meet The Cat In The Hat
When I was a kid, my town's local library had the Cat and the Hat visit. He was joined by other kids book legends and it was a great time. It was fun to see a character we read about in "real life." Sadly COVID has cause events like this to be on hold, but the Moline public library is still giving kids a chance to have some fun!
It's great to see place like Moline continue to create virtual events for kids in the Quad Cities who want to have fun, and learn.
You can Join the Moline public library on Zoom for games, crafts, activities and stories read by the legend himself the Cat! This is a virtual event so registration is required. This event takes place February 26th at 6pm.
A link will be emailed out to you prior to the program. While registration is required it is easy to do. It is required for every person participating in this program and has been open since Monday, January 25. More info is here. A supply kit for the program will be available for pick up starting Thursday, February 18. Adults are asked to be nearby to help as needed.
Please note, the activity kits for the program include cornstarch, uncooked pasta, and Goldfish crackers. If you have any allergies to these ingredients and need an alternate kit, please call the Children’s Department at 309-524-2480.
The Cat will be portrayed by Ann Cobb. This event is Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Moline. Have a great time with the Cat!
