Quad City Marathon Effects Traffic This Weekend

Having our own marathon in the Quad Cities is pretty great but it will come with traffic changes.

I have recently been inspired by a friend's husband. He is doing an Iron Man competition this weekend and it's like a marathon on steroids. I admire the dedication, consistency and persistence it takes to train for any race, yet alone, a marathon (or Iron Man). It's hard work and the big day is when all that work pays off.

The Quad Cities Marathon is going on this weekend. According to KWQC.com, this race is:

'Covering 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island the 26.2 race will start and end in downtown Moline.'

River Drive, Iowa bound I-74 and the Arsenal/Government Bridge will have closures during this race. The Centennial Bridge will be open. Click HERE for a complete list of specific roads and closures so you can plan around it.
