Rock Island-Milan Schools Holding Winter Bash & Resource Expo Virtually
Families in the Rock Island-Milan School District will have a chance to tap into resources to help get through the winter here in the Quad Cities. The school district's Winter Bash & Resource Expo is coming up, and people will also have a chance to win gift cards!
Winter has been tough this year. Cloudy, extremely cold, and just miserable. But the Rock Island-Milan School District wants to help families and students get through the rest of the winter season.
The Rock Island-Milan School District is holding their annual Winter Bash and Resource Expo. The event will be held on Thursday, February 25th, and start at 5 p.m. The Winter Bash and Resource Expo will end at 6 p.m. Because of COVID-19, much like other events, this year's Winter Bash and Resource Expo will be held virtually.
This year's Winter Bash & Resource Expo will give information on education, health care, nutrition, mental health, preventative care, and safety. To touch on the subjects and talk to families will be speakers from the community.
Those speakers will be representatives from Howard Health, Spring Forward, NAMI and Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation.
On top of all of the great information being provided by those speakers and the Rock Island-Milan School District, there will be gift card giveaways as well.
