Sample Tasty Burgers At Annual Eastern Iowa Burger Cook Off

Nothing like a delicious, juicy burger that comes right off the grill. It's even better when that burger comes from the best places to get one in town. This Friday, you have a chance to sample delicious burgers and crown a champion of this annual burger cook-off.

That's right; you can drink some beers, sample burgers, and have a blast doing it. Sounds like a terrible time, I know.

9th Annual Burger Cook Off

Makes plans to attend the 9th annual Lyons Business & Professional Association (LBPA) in Clinton, Iowa this Friday night, June 28th.

The cook-off begins this Friday night starting at 6 p.m. It is free to get in but donations are accepted. This year, six local restaurants will be competing for the title of best burger in town. The list of contenders for this year's cook-off includes:

• Hooks Pub
• Lyons Filling Station
• Lyons Tap
• Mike's Fun Foods
• Rastrelli's Restaurant
• Slops

The cook-off will be held in the brick alley next to Rastrelli's. There will be one gate entrance located at the front alleyway off Main Avenue between Rastrelli's Restaurant & Lyons Tap.

Simply buy your burger samples for $1 each from participating vendors, then vote for your favorite burger! Sampling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with the event closing up at 9 p.m. Burger baskets will also be available to purchase per vendor. Drinks can be purchased in the beer tent along with water and pop. No outside alcohol is allowed.
