Sample Delicious Burgers At Annual Cook Off In Eastern Iowa
Are burgers and beer two of your favorite things? Yeah, I figured that question would get your attention. Tonight is the 8th annual Burger Cook Off in the Lyons District in Clinton, Iowa. Tonight, a select number of restaurants with tasty burgers will battle it out to find out who is the best.
The great thing is that they need people to sample the burgers and cast a vote. I know, twist your arm, right?
Get in your car and head to the 8th annual Burger Cook Off hosted by the Lyons Business & Professional Association in Clinton.
8th Annual Burger Cook Off In Clinton
Tonight (Friday, June 16th) is the 8th annual Burger Cook Off in the Lyons District in Clinton, Iowa.
The cook off begins tonight starting at 6 p.m. It is free to get in but donations are accepted. This year, five local restaurants will be competing for the title of best burger in town. The list of contenders for this year's cook off includes:
- Lyons Filling Station
- Lyons Tap
- Mike's Fun Foods
- Rastrelli's Restaurant
- Slops Bar
The cook off will be held in the brick alley next to Rastrelli's. There will be one gate entrance located at the front alleyway off Main Avenue between Rastrelli's Restaurant & Lyons Tap. No outside alcohol is allowed.
Burger samples are $1 each from participating vendors. All you need to do to cast a vote for the best burger is to buy a sample from each vendor and then vote for your favorite burger. Burger baskets will also be available to purchase per vendor. Sampling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. with the event closing up at 9 p.m..
Raffle tickets will be available for both a kid and adult basket. Drinks can be purchased in the beer tent along with water and pop.
