After a sold-out stint in Des Moines, the Savannah Bananas are coming back to Iowa.

In 2 recent years, the wildly popular and viral Savannah Bananas baseball (kinda?) team has sold out Principal Park in Des Moines. The games in 2023 and 2024 sold out and many Iowa fans were left still wanting to see the Savannah Bananas.

Now, the Savannah Bananas are coming to a different part of Iowa.

The Savannah Bananas, known for their version of baseball called 'banana ball', which includes on-field antics, choreographed dances, funny rules, trick plays, props, and constant crowd interaction.

The Savannah Bananas will be in Kinnick Stadium in summer 2026.

They will be in town July 3-4, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. CST.

Main stand tickets to the games will be sold through the Savannah Bananas and it's ticketing platform.

If you want to go, you're encouraged to join the ticket lottery before it closes at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on October 31st, 2025. Joining the list doesn't guarantee the opportunity to buy tickets. A random drawing will take place before the event for the chance to buy available tickets.

The announcement for the Bananas' Kinnick game was made by 8-year-old Hugh Harvey, of Donahue, Iowa, who was flown to Savannah, Georgia for the live team announcement. Harvey and everyone in attendance for the schedule reveal did an 'Iowa Wave' to patients and their families at University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital.

There's no word yet on what team the Savannah Bananas will go up against in Iowa City. The game in Kinnick will be the only Iowa game for the team.
