See The Cute Iowa Puppies Who Will Be In The Puppy Bowl
Sunday is the Super Bowl, but a much cuter game will be on Animal Planet and it has five adorable ties to Iowa. If you need an excuse to watch the Puppy Bowl (no excuse needed really, it's fluffy puppies), five puppies from Iowa will play in this year's game.
The pups are from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue & Transport in De Soto, IA. This year's Puppy Bowl marks the 10th year that Amy Heinz has sent dogs to the big game.
In total, 118 puppies will compete/play in the Puppy Bowl, represented in two teams: orange bandanas will be Team Ruff, blue bandanas for Team Fluff. 67 animal shelters from 33 states are sending pups to the game. Some of the more shy puppies might end up being "cheerleaders" on the sidelines, while the more social and playful pups will likely be "players". As one who has watched the Puppy Bowl for several years, I can confirm it's absolutely precious.
The actual Super Bowl will be the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams on Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m. on NBC.
Meanwhile, Puppy Bowl XVIII will be on Animal Planet and Discovery+ at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
With cute puppies on both teams and equally furry cheerleaders on the sidelines, can there really be a losing team? Pet parents, dog lovers, or all who love the idea of watching puppies play football, get ready for the game! Lucky for you, you can meet the Iowa puppers right now before the big matchup.
