Smartphone Driver’s Licenses Coming to Iowa in 2018
It is always fun to watch movies from the past that depicted future technology. Some get it right (Star Trek communicators, touchpads), and some get it wrong (where's my flying car?)
The state of Iowa will soon introduce a new technology right out of the movies. In 2018, Iowans will be able to have their Driver's License on their smartphones.
No more rummaging around your purse or wallet for your plastic D.L. Just fire up the smartphone and display your weird-smile-face pic to the officer who caught you speeding (damnit!)
In the meantime, I'll be here waiting for my flying car.
