Staff Member Pepper Sprayed by Davenport Student

Davenport Police responded to a disturbance call at Wood Intermediate School on Friday afternoon following an incident between a student and staff member.

At about 2:00 p.m., an administrator was escorting two students off school property when one student pepper sprayed the administrator in the face.

The administrator was treated at the school, located on the 5700 block of N. Division.

Davenport Police are investigating the situation and charges are pending.

26 people were treated for an incident involving pepper spray at Williams Intermediate in Davenport last April.
