If you recall, Taco Bell decided to kick us while we were down, with 2020 seeing the menu lose a lot of favorites during the pandemic when we were all vegging out.

The chain said they're bringing back Nacho Fries, the Loaded Nacho Taco, and the Bacon Club Chalupa for a limited time, starting Christmas Eve.

In a statement, Taco Bell acknowledged that it cut out a lot of favorites, and said the fries coming back proves "beloved innovations can always make a comeback."

Nacho Fries were first introduced in 2018 and have been brought back on occasion since then. The only difference now is they cost $1.39, a higher cost than the $1 they cost on their initial release.

Still missing from the menu are favorites like:

  • 7-Layer Burrito
  • Spicy Potato Soft Taco
  • Mexican Pizza
  • Grilled Steak Soft Taco
  • Beefy Fritos Burrito
  • Spicy Tostada
  • Triple Layer Nacho
  • Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes
  • Loaded Grillers (both cheesy potato and beefy nacho)
  • Mini Skillet Bowl
  • Chips & Dips

The company said they reduced the menu to "create a more efficient Taco Bell experience." Other competitors, like McDonald's, also made some cuts such as doing away with All-Day Breakfast, salads, and other items.
