The Rock Island Artists’ Market Opens This Weekend
There's a lot to choose from when it comes to weekend activities this week. The best part is, nothing overlaps so much that you can't check out multiple events. You can do Gumbo Ya Ya on Saturday, Chalk Art Fest on Sunday morning, and now the Rock Island Artists' Market on Sunday afternoon.
The Artists' Market is kicking off its fourth season on Sunday, June 9 starting at noon. According to the Quad City Times, the market will be held the second Sunday of each month through October, and it's free to get in!
The market will feature more than just art though. There will be produce, handcrafted items and more. Plus, it'll offer food and drinks from Kavanaugh’s Hilltop Bar and Grill, coffee from Cool Beanz, popcorn by G’s Gourmet Popcorn, and music by Roger Carlson.
And, as a new feature this year, the market will have a free kids’ art tent hosted by a different local charity each month.
