Christmas and Halloween are two of the most popular holidays, and give us the biggest movies. This leads to some classics, but also gives us some of the worst cinema we've ever seen.

Today we are looking at the best and worst holiday movies. We are using Rotten Tomatoes for our picks.

Lets start with the best. These four are considered classics. Some may not hold up by todays standards, but their ratings are still hard to beat.

4. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946)

People who haven't seen this movie still know clips from it. It is refenced in many pop culture Holiday specials. It currently has a 94%

3. A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (1965)

We knew this one would be on the list after the outrage of it not being on public TV went viral. Charlie Brown holds a special place in many people's hearts. It has a 94%

2. HOLIDAY INN (1942)

I have never seen this movie. I just know the Pit Bull line "Hotel, Motel HOLIDAY INN!" I also know that this movie is considered a classic. It is sitting at 100%

Honorable mentions:

ELF (2003): GREMLINS (1984):  RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (1964): DIE HARD (1988).

1. HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS (1967)

A movie almost everyone has seen. With countless remakes, and iconic songs it makes sense why this movies is on the list. It also has a 100% rating.

Now let's get into the "worst." Remember while critics may not like these films it doesn't mean they are unwatchable. I do enjoy some of the ones on this list.

4. SURVIVING CHRISTMAS (2004)

I've never seen it, but critics really hated it with a passion. It has a 7%

3. DECK THE HALLS (2006)

I saw this movie in middles school, and thought it was funny. After re-watching it at an older age much less jokes landed, but I still had fun. It's sitting at a solid 6%

2. CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS (2004)

I actually like this movie, but apparently many viewers and critics alike dislike it. It has a 5%

Dishonorable mentions:

FRED CLAUS (2007): JINGLE ALL THE WAY (1996): BLACK CHRISTMAS (2006)

1. THE NUTCRACKER IN 3D (2010)

I've never heard of this 0% movie, so I make the mistake of watching it... I'll just give you the critics reviews.

Misguided, misconceived, and misbegotten on every level, The Nutcracker in 3D is a stunning exercise in astonishing cinematic wrong-headedness.
