The First Big Snowfall of 2019 is Headed to the Quad Cities
The QC hasn't had much snow since Thanksgiving weekend. That's about to change.
Local News 4 is reporting that snow is likely this weekend, with 1-3 inches expected from Friday night into Saturday morning in the QC.
Although computer models are all over the place, it's not looking like our area will be hit with anything super significant. Still, 3 inches is enough to get out the shovel and scrape the car.
The station predicts areas south of the QC will be hit much harder. Galesburg and Monmouth could receive up to 5 inches and St. Louis and central Illinois can expect up to 7. Be careful if you have plans to drive south on Saturday, especially in the morning.
