The Five Best Places to Get Guacamole in the Quad Cities
When it comes to a great bowl of green guac, here's where to get the absolute best in the QC.
Avocado. I love it so much. It is a staple in my diet almost daily.
So, when it comes to any guacamole, I can not say no. I love nothing more than the fresh, just-ripe avocado, the tomatoes, onions, garlic and most of all, lime and cilantro flavor. That is the way my favorite guac is made.
But not all guacs are created equal or even made with the same ingredients. Fresh and authentic seem to be the theme, over and over again. The one thing they all have in common, is these guacs are the five best in the Quad Cities.
1. La Rancherita, Rock Island, IL.
Nick B. from Rock Island gives them a 5 star rating and says, "Steak burritos you can't go wrong with and the guacamole is the best in the QC."
2. La Flama, Moline, IL.
Jane O. traveled all the way from Hustisford, WI. for it. She writes, "We had spicy shrimp tacos and pork tacos. Both were very spicy and very delicious. The shrimp was not over cooked which often happens. Chips and salsa and guacamole were great."
3. El Mexicano, Moline, IL.
Price is right here, according to the five-star review B.I. from Moline wrote, "... you can also get a plate of guacamole for $1.50, & you can get breakfast any time of day also."
4. Nally's Kitchen, Davenport, IA.
Nally's doesn't disappoint again. Matt G. from Sterling, IL. gives a five-star review and writes, "Prices are very reasonable. A couple of personal favorites are the steak Guaraches and the soft corns shell chicken tacos. The fresh guacamole is also very good."
5. La Primavera, Moline, IL.
Authentic is where it's at. Mike H. from Sterling, IL mentions it in his review, "We loved the salsa bar and they also had excellent guacamole. The food was great, fresh ingredients and prepared well. Service was a little suspect, but we will definitely go back."
*Honorable mention goes to Cactus in Milan, IL. for fresh, authentic guacamole.
