The Most Powerful Voters For The Election Live In Wisconsin
Every 4 years, Americans across the country have a duty and a responsibility to decide who is going to lead the America people for the next 4 years. Very soon, we'll get a chance to vote on who will become our next President and represent us at the local, state, and federal levels.
If you've voted in the past or have been keeping up on the election, you've probably heard the term "swing states" or "battleground states." These states could “swing” to either Democratic or Republican candidates depending on the election.
States deemed swing states mean that voters in those states have a lot of power this election season. One of those states is Wisconsin and voters there should know the amount of power they have.
Ahead of the 2024 Election, WalletHub released the list of the states with the most and least powerful voters. Let me remind you that every vote matters in every election. Whether you live in a swing state or not, voting is a right you shouldn't take for granted.
In order to determine the states with the most and least influential voters, WalletHub calculated the Voter Power Scores for both presidential and Senate elections in each state. They determined that Wisconsin is the state with the 5th most powerful voters.
While it didn't crack the top 10, Iowa actually landed pretty high on this list. This election, WalletHub determined that Iowans are the 15th most powerful voters in the upcoming election. Iowa isn't a swing state per se, but key congressional races in the state and political issues being voted on in the upcoming election will shape our future for years to come.
Illinois ranked in the bottom half of this list at number 27.
